Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulate the All Progressive's Congress candidate, Dr John Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti state Governor elect for his re-election.

 While in transit to Beijing, China, this morning, i received, with delight, the news of your recent re-election as the Governor ot Ekiti state. Please, accept my sincere congratulations for this huge feat. Your success at the poll after a hard fought campaign is proof that the people of Ekiti state value you leadership and appreciate the efforts you have made thus far on their behalf. Isalute you and all those who worked your re-election.

You will agree with me, no doubt, that the outcome of the election broadly reflects the choice of your people, who have by their conduct, visibly demonstrated that they cherish you and will do their utmost to make you succeed. I urge you, therefore, to reciprocate their trust by doing everything you can to strengthen their faith in democracy and in it's ability to bring about improved material conditions and better service delivery to them.

You have fought and won the election and deserve to savour the victory. As you rejoice, however, i would urge that you should be magnanimous in victory and stretch a hand of fellowship to the other candidates who failed in their bid for elected office. Such a gesture is not only charitable but should also help at this time to cool passions in the wider interest of Ekiti state in particular and Nigeria ta large.

I felicitate with you, once again, on your renewed mandate and, as you prepare for another four years at the helm of affairs of Ekiti state, i extend best wishes for your good health and the continued progress of Ekiti state under your able leadership.

  In an interview with Nigeria Tribune, Reverend Gabriel Beni Omoge, who is one of the factional leader of the Church has revealed why he was ordained as one of the head of all Pastors of the Church despite not being close to the late Pastor and Supreme Head, Reverend Maforikan. The CELESTIAL CHURCH of CHRIST choir cape is not a fashion statement piece of garment. It is a wisdom of heaven revealed to us in this last day. The choir cape has just simple colors BLUE AND YELLOW. Blue as we know in celestial means SPIRIT. REVELATION Yellow means HEALING. Even though the kind of material for sowing choir capes is not specified, it is wrong and a spiritual accident to use a material which is altered in design or embroidered. The alter in design removes the simplicity and humility the Cape is supposed to reflect. It is not meant to have embroidery or designs. It is only the pastor, who is also the high priest's garment that has been the grace and authority of embroidery. Ask an average Nigerian what he or she feels about CCC members and you would not be taken aback at the negative feedback you would get from them.  A blogger once asked a question “Why do most Nigerian guys avoid dating or marrying ladies from white garment churches especially from CCC?”, as expected the response was filled with shades, banters and tantrums, such that I began to literally shed tears when I was reading through them, and it is so pathetic that our administrators are probably less concerned about the image of this church.
