Most readers of this email feel more like “aliens” and “exiles” in society today than than Christians did in previous generations. But nothing’s new under the Son for the church of the living God, and an ancient letter stands ready to help us prepare, and even thrive: Peter’s first epistle. Look at the Book is John Piper’s effort to help us learn to read the Bible for ourselves, ten minutes at a time. The camera is on the text, not the teacher, and the collective effect of walking all the way through a book of the Bible, verse by verse, every word on the screen, is powerful. John now has worked all the way through 1 Peter, and we have the full series grouped in five parts (one for each chapter) for personal and group study. Maybe now’s the time to give Look at the Book a fresh look. Work straight through, or take it a chapter at a time:

  In an interview with Nigeria Tribune, Reverend Gabriel Beni Omoge, who is one of the factional leader of the Church has revealed why he was ordained as one of the head of all Pastors of the Church despite not being close to the late Pastor and Supreme Head, Reverend Maforikan. While speaking with the Newspaper, Omoge likened how he found his way into Celestial Church like that of a spectator, saying he visited the Church for the first time in 1977 on the invitation of his elder brother. "My elder brother invited me to CCC Ikeja Parish 2, Lagos in 1977 putting on white robes without shoes, not knowing what God had in stock for me" he narrated.  At the parish, he was prophesied to, that he has been ordained a prophet of God, but he never believed not until in 1978, when he began to prophesy during a revival service in Ondo State. There was palpable tension in the sleepy ancient town of Awo during the week, over illegal appointment of warrant chiefs by negating the compound and house that used to produce the High Chiefs. If you objectively assess the current so-called coalition against President Tinubu, you will observe that the promoters of this gathering are doing the same thing they did in 2014 and expecting a different result in 2027.  These same people gathered to unite against President Jonathan and ended up regretting their folly under eight years of Buhari. The truth is bitter, but when you take to it, it will profit you. Every church of ministry on earth has its strength and weakness. You might be seeing them as perfect from outside but those who are within can tell or show the real pictures. It is so shameful the way media organizations focus on any error of the white garment churches, most especially Celestial Church of Christ, as if we are full of errors all through our worships (though some of those barbaric acts committed are not coming directly from real members of this church but rather those who are hiding under the garment to perpetrate their evil intention ). I'll not point an accusing finger or mention a particular name.
