Jesus Bought Your Endurance: By John Piper

“This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.” (Luke 22:20) What that means is that the new covenant, promised most explicitly in Jeremiah 31 and 32, was secured and sealed by the blood of Jesus. The new covenant comes true because Jesus died to establish it. And what does the new covenant secure for all who belong to Christ? Perseverance in faith to the end. Listen to Jeremiah 32:40, “I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.” The everlasting covenant — the new covenant — includes the unbreakable promise, “I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.” They may not. They will not. Christ sealed this covenant with his blood. He purchased your perseverance. If you are persevering in faith today, you owe it to the blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit, who is working in you to preserve your faith, honors the purchase of Jesus. God the Spirit works in us what God the Son obtained for us. The Father planned it. Jesus bought it. The Spirit applies it — all of them infallibly. God is totally committed to the eternal security of his blood-bought children.

  In an interview with Nigeria Tribune, Reverend Gabriel Beni Omoge, who is one of the factional leader of the Church has revealed why he was ordained as one of the head of all Pastors of the Church despite not being close to the late Pastor and Supreme Head, Reverend Maforikan. There was palpable tension in the sleepy ancient town of Awo during the week, over illegal appointment of warrant chiefs by negating the compound and house that used to produce the High Chiefs. If you objectively assess the current so-called coalition against President Tinubu, you will observe that the promoters of this gathering are doing the same thing they did in 2014 and expecting a different result in 2027.  These same people gathered to unite against President Jonathan and ended up regretting their folly under eight years of Buhari. The truth is bitter, but when you take to it, it will profit you. Every church of ministry on earth has its strength and weakness. You might be seeing them as perfect from outside but those who are within can tell or show the real pictures. It is so shameful the way media organizations focus on any error of the white garment churches, most especially Celestial Church of Christ, as if we are full of errors all through our worships (though some of those barbaric acts committed are not coming directly from real members of this church but rather those who are hiding under the garment to perpetrate their evil intention ).
