  In an interview with Nigeria Tribune, Reverend Gabriel Beni Omoge, who is one of the factional leader of the Church has revealed why he was ordained as one of the head of all Pastors of the Church despite not being close to the late Pastor and Supreme Head, Reverend Maforikan. While speaking with the Newspaper, Omoge likened how he found his way into Celestial Church like that of a spectator, saying he visited the Church for the first time in 1977 on the invitation of his elder brother. "My elder brother invited me to CCC Ikeja Parish 2, Lagos in 1977 putting on white robes without shoes, not knowing what God had in stock for me" he narrated.  At the parish, he was prophesied to, that he has been ordained a prophet of God, but he never believed not until in 1978, when he began to prophesy during a revival service in Ondo State.
